<p>They gathered data on 84.136 women between 30 and 55 who participated in the health study of nurses (Nurses&#8217; Health Study) for 26 years between 1980 and 2006.<br />
The researchers noted that, during that time, there were 2.210 nonfatal heart attacks and 952 deaths from heart attack.</p>
<p>Also found that women who ate the most red meat had the highest risk of heart disease. However, eating poultry, fish and nuts was associated with lower risk of heart disease.</p>
