Historically, the lack of pantothenic acid was named player of burning foot syndrome that affected prisoners of World War II in Asia.
Pantothenic acid deficiency has been observed experimentally only in people who received an antagonist with a diet without the vitamin. The symptoms observed were headache, fatigue, insomnia, intestinal disorders such as nausea and vomiting, neurological symptoms such as parenthesis (numbness, tingling, loss of sensation) in hands and feet, hypoglycemia and increased sensitivity to insulin.
